Your Captain, Jeremy Blunt

Captain Jeremy BluntCaptain Jeremy Blunt began fishing like most kids who grew up on the Chesapeake Bay, fishing off his parent’s pier for white perch and sun fish. As he grew up his fishing expanded to chasing schools of  Striped bass threw out the upper Bay. Having a passion for fishing also meant having a love of boats. At the age of 14 he started working for Stoney Creek Bridge Marine and was latterly driving boats before he had a driver’s license. After two summers of working at the marine he was invited to ride along for the delivery of the Jet Suzette from Baltimore to Ocean City, MD.  This simple boat ride became the start of his fishing carrier.

Captain Blunt's offshore experience began on the Jet Suzette, fishing weekends through out his high school years. After graduating high school he made the move to Ocean City and took a job as a dock hand at the Ocean City Fishing Center. His time at the Fishing Center lead to his first professional mate opportunity. The following summer he was hired as a mate on the Fish Finder for Captain Mark Sampson. His three summers with Captain Mark taught him the skills needed to continue on as a Captain.

Captain Blunt combined all his experience and knowledge of boats and fishing to get his captains license in 2003. He has since captained boats from Ocean City Maryland to Islamorada Florida and beyond, ranging in size from 39 feet to 68 feet. Jeremy currently holds a 100 ton Masters Captains license.
